It's with a heavy heart, I layed to rest my beloved friend of 11 years "Jewel" (May 2009). I must acknowledge that I am devistated without her & I feel as though my heart has been ripped from my body. She was the last living daughter of "T". Jewel "chose" me from the day she was born. She was not the one I wanted to keep...but through her persistance & yes sometimes even complaining when prospective buyers would come to see her, she absolutely would not agree to be sold. She was a wonderful, kind soul...Yes, stubborn & willful, but also extremely loyal & faithful to the end. She was not interested in being a "fancy" show dog, she left that up to her sister "Sophie"...she was completely & utterly happy with just being my pet....& so, she was....my pet.... & I loved her with every fiber of my being & now I find myself unable to be happy without her. We breeders have a heavy road to bare so often......We can experience the great joys of welcoming our new little litters into the world & the devistations of losing our faithful friends & companions. Yes, I know in my heart the good always out weighs the bad....but the bad, Jewels loss...is just so sad for me now....So, I take this moment to share with you...my friends, family & clients my deep sorrow...so, if I'm not quite as chipper as I usually am, if I seem tired or just quiet, I am........just know my heart is hurting....I'm sad...& I miss my "Jewel" so badly....my home isn't the same without her.
